Video: Movie Trailer for 'Parker' Starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez

Why, it was only a couple of days ago that we had a post just brimming with Parker-flavored goodies. So naturally, as it happens more often than not, we’ve got a brand new trailer to add to the pile. It’s like Christmas!

In just a little over a month we’re set to get more of The Stath on the big screen doing all of the usual Statham-y things. Yeah, he knows what we like.  Where was I…oh yeah, so expect more Parker presents in the next few weeks. Today we have the official UK version of the trailer that debuted for the US back in October. It does have a tad bit of new footage – it also drops the Southern accent.

Here's what I don't get: the tagline is #GetYourCut, but in the US trailers when Lopez's character Leslie says "…and I get a cut", "cut" has been changed to "piece".  Anyone have a theory? Anyone? Bueller?

“Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to PalmBeach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.”

Joining Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez (what is up with that baby-soft voice? Is she victim? Scam artist? What?) are a strong supporting cast led by Nick Nolte, Michael Chiklis, Clifton Collins, Jr. and Wendell Pierce. Taylor Hackford  directed from a script by John J. McLaughlin (Hitchcock, Black Swan), based on the best-selling series of novels by Donald E. Westlake (writing as Richard Stark) .

Parker is set to hit theatres in the US on  January 25,  and 8th March in the UK. By the way, we’re set to get even more of The Stath this spring when  Hummingbird opens in the US on March 15 and in the UK on 3rd May. Can’t get enough of those blue-bearded jaws and that manly-muscled head.
