Video: Movie Trailer for 'Jack the Giant Slayer' Directed by Bryan Singer

Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Slayer is finally hitting the big screen in just over a month, after a very long wait. Early reviews have been mixed. Previously titled Jack the Giant Killer, but Slayer conjures up images of 80’s hair bands and nothing gruesome, so they changed it,  the film sees Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class, Warm Bodies) as the heroic young Jack of fairy-tale legend.

Fee Fi Fo Fum, I Smell a New Poster for Jack the Giant Slayer

Today we’ve got some posters for some ornery (but obviously CGI) looking giants (whose names are apparently Fee, Fallon, Pho and Fumm- so on top of everything else we’ve all be spelling their names wrong for centuries), one of the worst banners I’ve ever seen, some promo cards and a first tv spot to share with you:

“An ancient war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom and its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend… and gets the chance to become a legend himself.”

The supporting cast includes the always brilliant Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor , the usually brilliant Ian McShane and Eddie Marsan as well as Ewen Bremner, Eleanor Tomlinson and John Kassir

Singer directed from a script by Dan Studney, Darren Lemke, and the generally brilliant Christopher McQuarrie. Jack the Giant Slayer will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on March 1 in the US and in the UK on 22nd March.

Will you see Jack the Giant Slayer? Did it make difference when it was called Jack the Giant Killer? Sound off in the comments.
