Video: Movie Trailer for 'Hitchcock' Starring Anthony Hopkins

As is very often  the case, right after we got a new poster and some new images, we’ve gotten the first trailer for Sacha Gervasi’s Hitchcock starring Sir Anthony Hopkins as the iconic director, Alfred Hitchcock.

Helen Mirren costars as the director’s  wife, Alma Reville, and in this trailer we get quite a bit of their relationship, personally and professionally.  There is a bit of Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, but nothing of Jessica Biel as Vera Miles or James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins.

Shot in just 36 days, Hitchcock has a score by the great Danny Elfman and a screenplay by John McLaughlin (Black Swan) from a book by Stephen Rebello, follows the production of Hitchcock classic, Psycho.

It also stars Toni Colette as the director's assistant Peggy Robertson, Danny Huston as Alma's friend Whitfield Cook, and Michael Stuhlbarg as agent Lew Wasserman, Michael Wincott as convicted murderer Ed Gein, the inspiration for the book “Psycho” and subsequent film;  Kurtwood Smith as Geoffrey Shurlock, head of the Motion Picture Production Code (now called the MPAA), Wallace Langham as Saul Bass and Ralph Macchio as Joe Stefano.

Hitchcock will be released in the US on November 23 and in the UK on 8th February. See everything we have here.
