This is turning into the year of Bruno. Bruce Willis was on screen earlier this year in Lay the Favorite, Catch .44, Cold Light of Day, The Expendables 2, was brilliant in Moonrise Kingdom and is currently killing it as the older, (wiser?) Joseph Gordon Levitt in Looper. He’s also got another film, Fire with Fire going straight to dvd next month. (With a cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio and 50 Cent among many others, it must be really bad to get no theatrical release at all.)
Along with the G.I. Joe sequel, G.I. Joe Retaliation, in 2013 Willis will return to his most iconic role, that of John McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard (aka Die Hard 5). Thanks to Yahoo we have the first teaser trailer and to EW for the first image.
This is just a teaser. The trailer doesn't tell us much about the plot, but the use of Beethovan’s “Ode to Joy” is inspired and this looks like all kinds of Willis-flavored fun.
Costarring Jai Courtney (“Spartacus”) as his son Jack, as well as Sebastian Koch, Cole Hauser, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Anne Vyalitsyna (seriously?), the film is directed by John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines). February 14, 2013 is not only Valentine’s Day but A Good Day to Die Hard in theaters.
