End of Watch stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña. I don’t know about you, but I’m always up for a good cop drama/buddy movie.
When done right, there’s just something so compelling about watching the dynamics of a true partnership and watching that relationship develop and be put to the test.
This first clip from End of Watch is an excellent example.
We’ve also got a new batch of images to share that give us our first look at Anna Kendrick as well as more of Gyllenhaal and Pena. (It's nice to see Pena in a leading role. He'll next be seen as part of the Gangster Squad.)
“A powerful story of family, friendship, love, honor and courage, End Of Watch stars Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles.
Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds entirely through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city’s darkest, most violent corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.”
David Ayer (Training Day) directs from his own script, and along with Gyellenhaal, Peña, and Kendrick is a supporting cast, led by America Ferrera, Cody Horn, Natalie Martinez, and Frank Grillo.
End of Watch opens in the US September 28 23rd November in the UK.
