On the 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart reported on the NFL referees strike, which probably cost the Green Bay Packers a win on Sunday via a bad call by replacement referees.
Inspired by the strike, 'Daily Show' correspondents started a picket line of their own. But the surprise of the segment came when Stewart went to British correspondent John Oliver only to find actor Patrick Stewart standing in his place as the “senior replacement correspondent.”
Patrick Stewart explained that the striking 'Daily Show' correspondents are temporarily being replaced by actors, reports Mediaite.com.
Oliver was quick to run onto the set and beg to be taken back. Patrick Stewart initially refused to leave, until Oliver told him what the yearly pay was, to which Stewart responded, “No f*cking way.”
