Here’s a very cool new video blog at the Telegraph for Sam Mendes’ Skyfall, in which the director as well as star Daniel Craig discuss what it was like shooting the film in London and particularly, why it was important to them.
London’s gotten quite the showcase this year already, what with the Queen’s Jubilee and a little thing called the Olympics all happening on a world stage. Plus since Skyfall is Bond’s 50th outing on the big screen, there have been a number of events happening that revolve around that, like the big exhibition, “Designing 007 – Fifty Years of Bond Style “, currently at the Barbican and expected to tour select cities next year.
In Skyfall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Starring Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ben Whishaw and Helen McCrory, Skyfall opens in IMAX in the UK (with a gala premiere beforehand, I have no doubt) on 26th October and in the US on November 9. You can see more of our coverage here.
