The latest videoblog is out with a new tidbit about the making of Sam Mendes’ Skyfall. This one focuses on the two latest incarnations of the iconic “Bond Girl."
Skyfall features Naomie Harris as Eve, another MI-6 agent who “sees herself as Bond’s equal”, and Berenice Marlohe as Severine, a classic femme fatale with ties to the film’s villain Silva, played by Javier Bardem.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as James Bond for the third time, extolls the virtues of both women:
“The casting of the Bond girls with Naomie and Bérénice… Finding two exceptionally beautiful girls who are very serious actresses. Both of them wanted to be in a Bond movie.”
Harris explained, “I that don't think it's enough to look pretty anymore. It may well have been true in the past, but not anymore.”
Marlohe, making her English-language film debut, praised her director for helping to make the experience memorable.
Skyfall, also starring Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Albert Finney opens in the UK on 26th October and November 9 in the US.
