Most of us wonder why longtime partners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren’t married yet. And that’s just the same question their brood of six adopted and biological children ponder!
Jolie spoke to Nightline, in an interview that will air tonight (video below), about the children asking why they haven’t tied the knot.
Angelina and Brad raise six children together – Maddox, 10, Pax, right, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
The actress said she explained to the kids that they have the “greatest commitment” they could possibly have once they decided to have children. We highly doubt that statement will hold the children off for long.
She said: “The kids asked me the other day and I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a big cake. They see movies that have the people getting married in the movies or somebody’s, you know, the happily ever after.”
Angelina adds, “Shrek and Fiona are married. We’ve explained to them that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have. Once you have six children you’re committed."
