Video: American Music Awards' Winners, Performances

The American Music Awards 2011 was held last night with Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez all scooping up gongs.

Swift, 21, nabbed the best artist and album and later scored artist of the year.

Adorable Nicki Minaj opened the show at the Nokia Theater with David Guetta as they performed Superbass. Minaj won gongs for the Favorite Album in the rap category and also landed the Favorite Artist Award in rap too.

The rapper told the crowd, “There’s so much love in this room.”

Katy Perry received a special award for five of her songs from her album hitting number one.
