'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1' Sells Out 2500 Shows

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1,' which opens Thursday night at midnight (and premieres in Los Angeles), has already sold out out more than 2,500 showtimes on Theaters owners are reporting sold-out showtimes across the country, while posting additional showtimes to meet the fan demand. 'Breaking Dawn, Part 1' currently represents 93% of today’s ticket sales, but can it beat 'Harry Potter'? editor Phil Contrino said, as of now, his tracking site was calling for a $155 million opening weekend. That would make 'Breaking Dawn, Part 1' the top-opening 'Twilight' movie of all, and the third-biggest-opening Hollywood movie of all time. However, $155 million would not be enough to top 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,' which pulled $169.2 million in its first weekend.
