Tom Arnold in Rehab for Addiction to Pain Meds

Actor Tom Arnold has entered rehab to seek help for his addiction to pain pills he was prescribed after his recent colon surgery.

“True Lies” star Tom Arnold was treated recently for a perforated colon that forced him to spend a month in the hospital and be prescribed pain pills.

Arnold, 51, struggled to battle his addiction to alcohol and has been sober for 20 years. The actor has entered the Betty Ford Clinic in California to wean himself off the pain medications.

Tom’s rep stated, “He spent over a month in the hospital after emergency surgery for a perforated colon. During that time, extensive pain and anti-anxiety meds were administered.

“His doctors advised him to go into a supervised, structured recovery/rehab facility to properly and safely detox from all meds.”
