There is still no sign of a Las Vegas showgirl who has been missing for more than a week. But it has been revealed that she sent a strange text message to her mother shortly before she disappeared.
In the message, 31-year-old Deborah Flores Narvaez appeared to give instructions to her mother in case she ever got into any trouble:
"In case there is ever an emergency with me, contact Blu Griffith in Vegas. My ex boyfriend. Not my best friend."
Elise Narvaez told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she was concerned after getting the message on December 1st, and asked her daughter about it.
But Deborah brushed it off, saying, "Never mind, mommy. Just keep if for your records."
It turns out police say Griffith was the last person to see Deborah before she failed to return home on December 12. He said she was at his house for a short time but left early in the evening to meet friends.
Her car was later found abandoned with the plates removed. There were no signs of any violence and her purse was still inside.
Her sister Celeste Flores Narvaez said it is out of character for Deborah to do something like this. 'I can't make anything of this right now. It's not her. It's not her to go missing. It's not her to take a small vacation like this."
She said Deborah was very private, but that she heard that things were not going well with Griffith. "I understand from almost all her friends that her relationship with Blu made her upset a lot."
Deborah was a performer at the Luxor's adult show Fantasy. She was born in Puerto Rico and has a law degree. But she gave that all up to be a dancer.
