Steven Tyler has taken another swipe from a fellow rocker for accepting a job on American Idol.
Kid Rock took aim at Tyler last week, accusing the Aerosmith frontman of destroying the “sacred American institution of rock and roll” after taking on the “stupid” new job as an American Idol judge.
Tyler – along with Jennifer Lopez – signed on to be a judge for Idol’s 10th season, which starts in January.
And now former Guns N’ Roses rocker Slash has condemned Tyler for taking the job.
He tells New York’s Q104.3 FM, “It’s really sort of disappointing to me that he’s gone and done that, for whatever reason – a lot of it having to do with (the fact that) I just know the guy and the other guys in the band are bummed out and they’ve had a really rocky road for a while. And then just because American Idol is what it is, so it’s hard for me to put the thing together.”
Come on guys, quit griping and bitching. Hug this one out. It’s a job, not a sacrilege!
