In the September issue of GQ, ‘X Factor’ producer and former ‘American Idol’ judge Simon Cowell said that he wants his body to be frozen after he dies. Cowell hopes that future medical technology will be able to resuscitate him and treat whatever caused his death.
"It's an insurance policy," he says. "If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If it does work, I'll be happy. If it's possible, and I think it will be, why not have a second crack? Does that sound crazy? I think it's a good idea. I have a feeling if I don't do it now, I could regret this in 300 years' time."
Cowell also reveals that he gets a health boost via a weekly intravenous drip of B-12, magnesium and vitamin C, "You feel all the vitamins going through you. It's indescribable but very calming, and then it gives you energy for a good few days afterwards."
"Everyone I've recommended it to, they've absolutely loved it," he tells GQ. "It sounds odd, but when you have it, it is fantastic. One girl came down and actually had two orgasms during the treatment."
He confesses that he has considered a romantic relationship with his on-air friend and foil, Paula Abdul. "I've thought about it. Only if we came to a pact that there is zero conversation afterwards. It'd be like that movie with Michael Douglas. ‘War of the Roses.' And that'd be on the honeymoon."
Cowell also revealed that his last two years on ‘American Idol” were not happy ones. "There were times I used to wake up and I knew it was an audition day, and it was the same feelings I used to get Sunday nights at school. I used to wake up and think, I just wish I could do what I used to do, put a cup of tea on my head and pretend I'd got a fever.”
