Shania Twain had an ‘ouch, that’s gotta hurt’ moment on Wednesday. The country music singer was at the CMT Awards this week. The ceremony was held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Walking on stage to present an award to Blake Shelton, she had what looks like a very nasty fall. One of those falls, where you hit the deck, and hope to god no one notices. But you know damn well everyone will notice, because you hit the deck.
In Twain’s case, she was in a crowded auditorium, at an awards ceremony and being filmed. The star picked herself up, brushed herself off, and continued, in true star fashion. The crowd applauded – what did they think it was intentional?
Shortly after the incident, Twain assured all via ‘Twitter’ she wasn’t hurt. The warbler tweeted: “I just made a complete fool of myself and experienced one of life’s most embarrassing moments. I don’t need a stunt double. I didn’t hurt myself. I have a bit of a sore thumb – that’s it.”
I have heard of sticking out like a sore thumb. But the thumb wasn’t to blame. It was her killer heels.
Of the errant shoes, she continues: “I’m gonna auction off those shoes. I’m gonna get rid of them as soon as I can. I never want to see those shoes again!”
Twain may go down in history. Not only for being a noted country music singer, but also for her star blooper.
