Universal Pictures has released a little behind-the-scenes video blog of Eddie Redmayne on the set of Les Miserables. Redmayne stands atop the barricades. Anyone familiar with either the book or another film version knows the importance of that local but especially the stage musical where it’s really another character.
The video is short and quite a tease. Luckily, we have a bit more, in the form of these fantastic stills. (Plus the image above from MTV that I’m just getting around to posting – bad, I know!). We've had some looks from the set but these (thanks to our friends at Kinopoisk) are from the finished product.
The film version of the famed musical version of Victor Hugo’s celebrated novel, Les Miserables stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Redmayne. Composer Claude-Michel Schonberg and lyricist Alain Boublil wrote a new song exclusively for the film. Schönberg also composed new incidental music. (All the better to win those Oscars with my dear.)
Les Miserables will open in theaters in the US and Canada on December 14 *coughOscarbaitcough* and then on 13th January in the UK.
(thanks to our friends at HeyUGuys for the heads up on the video)
