Ricky Gervais has taken a swipe at royal wedding fans who camped out to see Prince William and Kate Middleton during their regal nuptials.
The Brit funnyman took to his blog to have a pop at the supporters.
“I sent Prince Harry a text today offering to gag up his best man speech. (True.) He said he was fine,” he joked.
“Hmmm? If I hear he’s done any holocaust or famine s*** I will sue obviously. I also reminded him it wasn’t fancy dress.”
He then let rip at the campers.
“On a serious note; I really like Harry. I like William too and really wish the happy couple all the best, as I would anyone on their wedding day.
“But… really. Enough already. Who are these f***ing mongs from all over the world camping out for f***ing days to get a 30 second glimpse of two people from 30 yards away? Christ.”
He added: “Still, mustn’t grumble. I suppose everyone gets a day off.”
“Congrats Will and Kate.”
In a later post he added:
“So, Will and Kate got hitched at the biggest most expensive wedding of the century so far, and Steve Carell left The Office.
“I can’t help but feel that both will cost me money in the long run. Ha ha.
“Everybody was saying that David Beckham has started to look like me. I was flattered until I realized that my name was somehow being used as an insult. (F**k it. I’m still taking it as a compliment.)
“Here he is looking great…” he added, while linking to a snap of himself.
