BBC radio host Paula White was apparently drunk during her final show on May 10 when she was pulled off the air (audio below), notes RadioToday.co.uk.
“For the last time on lunchtime let’s ssssssssssay yooou pick the music, oh yeah,” White said during her show. "It's a P-A-R-T-Y because I said sooooo... Some people will say, 'Oh, thank goodness she's gone.'"
One text from a listener to the radio show read “Paula you sound drunk,” to which White stated: “I’m not drunk, I’ve had a couple of drinks I’m not drunk... I’m sad."
“It’s my last day and nothing’s working!” she complained. “Why is nothing working?”
According to News.com.au, after about 30 minutes into her show, White was replaced by Dan Siegertsz who announced: “Paula is not feeling well with it being her last afternoon show and has gone home."
“Paula White was unable to continue on-air yesterday as she was under par,” a BBC spokesperson told RadioToday.co.uk. “Fortunately Denholm Siergertz was on hand to take over the show and listeners were able to enjoy the usual lively mix of chat and local news.”
