PETA Slams Lady Gaga's Meat Bikini

We totally called this! Just yesterday, we revealed Lady Gaga’s meat bikini for the cover of “Vogue Japan”. We said in that post that it was only a matter of time before PETA digs their claws into Gaga — and we were right!

Are we surprised?!?? Of course not! We expected the backlash! And PETA is not standing down.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk, said, “Lady Gaga’s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body. No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so that’s the look they were going for, they achieved it.”

Okay, so that wasn’t as bad as I initially expected. Maybe they’re going easy on Gaga because she has publicly denounced wearing fur?
