Gay Rights Organization PFLAG to Honor “Glee” Creator Ryan Murphy

I’m looking forward to covering the red carpet for this event on Friday night!

PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) National will join with entertainment industry leaders on Friday night to honor and celebrate the work of Ryan Murphy and Lisa Cholodenko, the writer/director of the recent indie hit The Kids Are All Right.

Ryan recently won his first Emmy for directing the pilot episode of Glee.

The evening will be emceed by Modern Family’s Mitchell and Cam! Well, make that Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet. It will also feature appearances by fellow Glee Emmy winner Jane Lynch, staunch straight ally Pauley Perrette of NCIS, Academy Award winner Dustin Lance Black (Milk) and a live performance from Grammy-winning musical artist Nelly Furtado.

PFLAG is the nationwide, non-profit support group for parents and friends of gay men and lesbians.
