Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have been divorced for eight years, but on a recent TV appearance, the Simpsons turned out to be a huge topic of discussion for Nick.
"What is the best thing about no longer having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law," Andy Cohen asked Nick during his Plead the Fifth segment of his Watch What Happens Live show.
Nick's brother, Drew, quickly jumped in and answered, "Everything!"
"What is the best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law ... I don't have to play grab a–– under the table on Easter Sunday," Nick followed up with a laugh.
"I am blushing!" Cohen responded.
"Our publicist is freaking out right now," Drew said.
"That's very funny," Cohen said.
"It may not be tomorrow, but it is tonight," Nick said.
Earlier in the show, Cohen asked Nick if he ever watches old videos of his reality show, with Simpson.
"Wow. Is this the part where I can plead the Fifth? It's been years [since I've talked to Jessica]. Years. Honestly, probably six years," Nick replied. "It was like another lifetime ago."
"I have not. As you can imagine, that's not popular viewing in my house," Nick explained. "We don't sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs."
Nick married Vanessa Minnillo in 2011 and welcomed a son, Camden John, in 2012.
