Deadline.com reports that Roseanne Barr's new sitcom 'Downwardly Mobile,' about a group of family and friends living in a trailer park, has been picked up by NBC.
Barr co-created the sitcom with her boyfriend John Argent (paging Tom Arnold?) and former 'Roseanne' executive producer Eric Gilliland. Barr recently returned to TV with 'Roseanne's Nuts,' a short-lived reality show on Lifetime that gave her a platform to announce her run for the presidency.
Roseanne has supported the recent Occupy Wall Street protest and said that bankers should be beheaded.
NBC currently has projects in development with Dane Cook, Sarah Silverman and Snoop Dogg. Plus, this season's 'Whitney' from Whitney Cummings and the upcoming Chelsea Handler sitcom.
