NBC news anchor Jenna Wolfe made headlines today when she came out publicly with partner Stephanie Gosk, announcing they are expecting a baby together.
Wolfe made the announcement on the “Today” show, revealing that she and Gosk have been together three years and are having a girl.
Jenna Wolfe and Stephanie Gosk, a foreign correspondent at NBC, decided to come out publicly in a big way.
Wolfe, 39, said, “I have big news, this is big for me. I’m actually pregnant — I’m quite pregnant, actually! My girlfriend Stephanie and I, who works here at NBC, we’re expecting a baby girl in the end of August”.
Jenna said, “Stephanie’s extremely adventurous. You know me, there’s not a building I haven’t jumped off of — this is not like that, this is the adventure of a lifetime.”
Jenna Wolfe plans to blog about her pregnancy, speaking about all she has to learn.
“There are terms I did not know about,” Jenna said. “You have to buy cribs and where do you get a baby stroller? The bodega? And have you heard of breast pumps? This is all new to me, this is a journey I’m excited to take.”
In the new issue of People magazine, Wolfe calls her pregnancy “the most exciting thing that has ever happened. I don’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is.”
Jenna and Stephanie also plan to get married.
Wolfe said, “In a way, we can’t wait to start. Stephanie keeps saying, ‘Hurry up! What’s taking so long?’ And I’m like, ‘[The baby's] cooking!’”
