Could "Beavis and Butt-Head" be coming back to MTV? An anonymous source is telling entertainment web site ReviewNiverse that show creator Mike Judge is currently outlining 30 new episodes of the legendary animated series. It's not yet clear when these episodes will be aired, and MTV hasn't issued a statement about the new "B&B" episodes, but the source confirms that Judge is definitely working on new material in the hopes of giving the show a full-scale comeback.
According to the anonymous dish-meister, Judge wants to retain the original faded, low-fi look of the show. He also plans to follow the same format, which alternates short sketches with music videos. The videos themselves, however, will be current ones, rather than the 90s clips originally featured on the show.
Beavis and Butt-Head made their debut in the animated short "Frog Baseball," which was part of MTV's cartoon show "Liquid Television." The pair of hilariously obnoxious teenage metalheads got their own show in March 1993, and it ran until November 1997.
