Michael Jackson Hologram Performs at Billboard Music Awards (Video)

Michael Jackson's hologram performed at the Billboard Music Awards tonight in a spectacle that has been described as amazing and creepy.

The techno performance was meant to promote a new album of unreleased songs, "Xscape," by the late pop singer. The tunes were remixed by some of the top music producers and include additional vocals by present day singers.

The King of Pop's hologram sang “Slave to the Rhythm," but Mediaite.com notes that the sync of the hologram and the song was off slightly at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (video below).

"Xscape" also includes a duet with Justin Timberlake entitled “Love Never Felt So Good.”

According to DigitalSpy.com, "Xscape" debuted at number one on the U.K. charts making it  Jackson's tenth number one album in Great Britain.

Tonight's hologram performance almost didn't happen as Hologram USA and Musion, which created a hologram of Tupac Shakur, tried to get a federal judge to block the Billboard Music Awards from allegedly using their technology, noted The Associated Press.
