Mark Wahlberg: "Why I Quit Smoking Marijuana"

Mark Wahlberg has moved past his bad-boy ways, but reveals the reason he quit smoking weed was because of his daughter.

Mark Wahlberg recently accepted his Indie Impact Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival and commented that the trophy looked like a bong.

But Wahlberg says he no longer smokes marijuana because of his little girl.

“I stopped smoking weed for my kids,” he told the crowd. “One day, we were driving and you could smell it from somewhere. My daughter asked what the smell was, so I told her it was a skunk.  Then she said, ‘Sometimes Daddy smells like that!’ to me and my wife. So I knew I had to quit.”

Wahlberg had quite a checkered past while addicted to cocaine, even running with a gang and being charged with attempted murder. He ended up pleading guilty to assault.

But now a father to four: Ella Rae, 7; Michael Robert, 4; Brendan Joseph, 2; and Grace Margaret, 1, with wife Rhea Durham, Mark has left his bad habits behind.
