Madonna May Be Sued Over Swastika Dance Routine

Madonna caused some controversy on the opening night of her MDNA tour in Tel Aviv and now could potentially be sued.

On the opening night of her tour in Israel, during one set of the show Madonna depicted the French National Front leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her forehead. While Madonna was just trying to say that Le Pen is a Nazi, a swastika is a pretty controversial symbol all over the world, and especially in Israel! She has now been threatened with legal action by Le Pen if she keeps the image when she performs in France.

The swastika was projected onto screens when she performed “Nobody Knows Me.”

Le Pen said she will sue Madonna if she tries to use this performance on French grounds. According to the Daily Mail, Le Pen said:

“We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes. If she does that in France, we’ll be waiting.”

She is scheduled to play in Paris and on the Riviera in France next month. An attorney for the National Front is currently looking into whether or not it would pursue legal action at this point.

Do you think Madonna will or even should change her performance???
