Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar this month, Madonna admits to proofreading her daughter Lourdes' blog. Madonna said that she goes through the text and sometimes edits it to make it sound better.
The aim was ensure that Lourdes does not become a "lazy writer," even though she is just 15.
Earlier this year Madonna and Lourdes launched a fashion label together called 'Material Girl.' The accompanying blog features advice and tips to young girls from a teenager, even if that isn’t actually the case.
Madonna claimed that Lourdes "loves fashion and style" and that her job is to "stand in the background and watch."
"I proofread her blogs and edit them and give her a hard time when I think she's being a lazy writer."
In the interview, Madonna also complained that people are unable to look beyond how old she is. She said that when people write about her "my age is right after my name."
Madonna is 53. Oops...
"It's almost like they're saying, 'Here she is, but remember she's this age, so she's not that relevant anymore. Or 'Let's punish her by reminding her and everyone else.' When you put someone's age down, you're limiting them."
"For some reason, I feel like I never left high school, because I still feel that if you don't fit in, you're going to get your ass kicked. That hasn't really changed for me. I've always been acutely aware of differences and the way you are supposed to act if you want to be popular."
