"The big secret is it's 75-80 per cent diet," the 42-year-old Los Angeles-based trainer and TV star explained in an exclusive interview with Sun Media.
"You can change completely with your diet. Definitely working out changes your body type, but it's really about nutrition. Food has a pharmacological effect on the system.
"So you can change your sleep patterns, your mood swings, your brain chemistry — all with food."
