Country legend Loretta Lynn cancelled a couple of concerts this weekend because she is in the hospital with pneumonia. The 76-year-old singer of such classics as ’Coal Miner’s Daughter’ and ‘Don’t Come Home A’Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind)’ , posted the following message on her official website:
‘Loretta regretfully must cancel her shows for Ashland Ky, and Durahm, NC for this weekend, due to illness. Doctors have diagnosed her as the beginning stages pneumonia, and will continue to need rest. Loretta is doing well and is disappointed but feels confident she will be ready for upcoming November dates.’
This isn’t the first time this year Lynn has had to postpone performances because of health issues. In August she had to skip shows because of knee surgery and she also missed several appearances after being hospitalized with heat exhaustion.
We hope she has a speedy recovery!!
