The live-action Justice League film fans have been asking for might soon have a director.
Matrix trilogy directors Lana Wachowski and Andy Wachowski are rumored to be the next candidates to helm the project.
A report by Moviehole states that the siblings are on the Warner Bros. list of candidates but concerns have been raised on how well they will perform if chosen.
The site claims that the Wachowski siblings “work at their own speed and definitely like to do their own ‘thing’ as opposed to being merely one cog in a venture.”
Previous works by the duo include the DC Comics screen adaption of V for Vendetta, which starred Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving, earning a large cult following.
The siblings also attempted to give the DC character Plastic Man a film but the project failed to materialize.
Other attempts at creating a live-action Justice League film include George Miller’s version which casted Armie Hammer as Batman, rapper Common as Green Lantern, and Adam Brody as Flash.
Lana Wachowski recently made headlines after coming forward about undergoing a sex change operation, the public previously identifying her as Larry Wachowski.
