Khloe Kardashian-Odom has been let go as a host on The X Factor. Mario Lopez will be returning for season three.
“Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor,” said the producers in a statement. “We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
Simon Cowell, the show's creator reacted to the news shortly after.
"I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor,” Simon said. “Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”
Lopez was also happy to hear the news.
“I’m looking forward to returning to The X Factor team,” Lopez said in a statement. “We’re coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent.”
In addition to Kardashian-Odom's departure, it is also being rumored that Cowell is eyeing Lady Gaga for a judge, following the departure of Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. Demi Lovato is also returning as a judge on the show.
