Jerry Seinfeld is not feeling the love for ubiquitous pop warbler Lady Gaga after she gatecrashed his private box at the Mets stadium recently.
Gaga rocked up at the stadium in her now trademark bra and panties and made a right spectacle of herself during a baseball game. She got snippy with some snappers and flipped them the birdie. Security then cared her off to Senifeld’s private box.
Asked how he felt about Gaga commandeering his box during the game, Seinfeld said at the time that the family took “an optimistic view of Lady Gaga’s gesture as a sign that she wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do.”
Well it sounds like he’s had a change of heart. During an interview on New York’s WFAN Sports Radio, Seinfeld let rip with a few choice words for Gaga.
“This woman is a jerk. I hate her,” he ‘joked’ with the presenter.
“I can’t believe they put her in my box — that I paid for! You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now? I mean…”
He added: “Why is she giving the finger? How old is the finger? How’d it even get to be the finger?
“Get an act,” Seinfeld added. “Rhinestone bikinis and giving people the finger? But she is talented. I don’t know why she’s doing this stuff.
“I wish her the best. You know, you take one ‘A’ off of that and you’ve got Gag.
He added, “I’m not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about you need exposure – you could die of exposure.”
When the presenter pointed out that Gaga was snapped at another baseball game last week, he quipped:
“Oh please, wake me when it’s over.”
So was he joking or not? You decide…
