American Idol needs some new judges if it wants to keep being successful, and now they're trying a new strategy to get more viewers.
Fox and the production company are reportedly trying to get old contestants to be judges. They said Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have been contacted, and Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are next.
Angie Miller, a contestant, said, "I'd like to see a past American Idol contestant be a judge…they really understand what this process is really like and what you do during the week. It should be someone who gets it."
There's no word yet on whether or not Clarkson and Hudson have accepted the offers.
