Does the Jonas Brothers Camp Rock 2 song Introducing Me sound a bit too familiar to Jason Mraz's I'm Yours? This is what Jason believes, and he's upset that such an assassination of his hit song is being sold.
As Jason told Popeater,
"Somebody told me about it. They were like, 'You've got to check this song out, man. It's a total rip-off of 'I'm Yours.' And they're like, 'You should do something about it,' which isn't my style," he explained to Popeater.com. "If anybody attributes your music or melody in some way, it's an honor. [But] there's something to be said about completely ripping it off 'cause that's your livelihood, and I have to support my family on the songs that I write and not just give it away."
Oh, and don't expect the Jonas Brothers to team with Jason Mraz on a tune any time soon.
"I heard the song, and it was just a tremendous, tremendous horror of a tune," he said. "I noticed a few similarities in the melody, but it wasn't enough to pick up the phone and argue with somebody about it. If anything, I just wanted my $1.29 back that I spent on iTunes."
What do you think? Is it a rip off version of I'm Yours?
