Jackie Evancho, the 10-year-old singer who sounds like an angel, has become the biggest-selling debut artist of 2010 after entering the Billboard 200 at number two for her song “O Holy Night.”

Singing sensation Jackie Evancho, who rose to fame after her appearance on “America’s Got Talent”, was the biggest seller for her Christmas song “O Holy Night”.

Evancho, 10, had her debut record sell 239,000 copies in its first week of release.

The singer is now the youngest female solo artist to ever debut in the top 10.

Colombia Records’ chairman Steve Barnett stated,  “Jackie Evancho is one of the purest and finest vocalists I’ve ever heard, and the initial response to her debut release has been phenomenal.”

Jackie Evancho recently spoke to Pennsylvanian television station WPXI about her singing voice saying, “I never really had a pop voice. But even if I had a pop voice, I would have gone with classical because it’s different from what many other children do, because with classical you’re able to show emotion in it.”
