Tickets for the first installment of the highly anticipated Hunger Games trilogy go on sale February 22, 2012.
In a slight bit of marketing creativity, Lionsgate made the announcement about a movie that covers the 74th Annual Hunger Games exactly 74 days before the film's feature release.
The trilogy, written by Suzanne Colins, was a massive success with its 16 million copies in print and is expected to perform very well at the box office. Gary Ross is set to direct.
