Pop singer Zayn Malik announced on March 25 he would be leaving boy band One Direction. The news brought heartbreak to teen girls across the globe.
CBS News recently aired some videos from social media site Vine of girls weeping, and one guy crying.
The guy, Ben Berst, put a fake video (below) of himself on his Vine page, which CBS News fell for, notes Business Insider.
Berst wrote on his Vine page, "Goodbye #zaynmalik I will always love you RIP."
Berst bragged about his ruse on the social site Reddit, and linked to the CBS News segment on YouTube.
