Gordon barnet: Gobby TV chef Gordon Ramsay has reportedly forked out £30,000 for a hair transplant.
Ramsay, 44, spent 12 hours at a Los Angeles clinic having follicles painstakingly removed from lush patches of his scalp, which were then reinserted where his hairline is thinning, reports the Daily Mail.
The fiery chef was snapped sporting a surgical-style cap post-surgery as he left the Alvi Armani centre in Beverly Hills.
A source said: “While his hair may not have been obviously receding, it had become an issue for him. Some will call it vanity – but to TV producers and Gordon, it’s a pre-emptive action to stop him suddenly going on TV with obvious thinning.”
The source added: “He may like boiled eggs, but he doesn’t want to go on TV looking like one.
“Better to act now than have countless pictures and comment scrutinising his hairline in years to come.”
Meanwhile, news just in claims Ramsay has been hit by a £600,000 US tax demand.
Well, that whopper of a bill will definitely put his newly rejuvenated thatch to the test!
