Well, 2010 is certainly a rubbish year for celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
According to reports, Ramsay is being sued and pursued for unpaid bills by executives at refuse collection company Daniello Carting Co., who maintain they collected the garbage, but have not been paid. Celebrity website TMZ.com also states the bills total $US24,766 for collections made from his Manhattan restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at The London, which is not a trashy amount!
Gordon has battled innuendos over an alleged affair, and some of his restaurants have had to close, which has led to financial turmoil due to the global economic downturn. And then he endured the very public tit-for-tat spat which culminated in him firing his father-in-law and other family members.
But being sued over the garbage is rubbish, and I hope we are not talking trash here. According to The Sun, Gordon and family are choosing to holiday with the Beckhams in the Maldives.
That is one way of avoiding the family hoy polloy over the festive period, and also a way of avoiding debt collectors.
