All good things must come to an end. That includes Glee. After all, don’t Rachel, Finn, Quinn and Puck have to grow up sometime?
Thankfully, we still have another year or two left before that happens. In an interview with Australia’s Herald Sun, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, explained that the cast will have to be replaced, as they’ll get "too old" to play high school students. He said,
“Every year we’re going to populate a new group. There’s nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.”
He also revealed that some of the original cast will leave as early as 2012.
“They graduate and they’re gone. When some of them finish their run at high school, it will be very teary episodes. For me it will be particularly tough, but a new crop [of actors] will come in.”
Will things be the same at McKinley High without our favorite gang?? One show that tried to bring in new cast members and failed miserably was Charlie’s Angels – after all, can there ever be a replacement for Farrah Fawcett?
Any other shows that you can think of that made a successful transition without the most loved main characters??
