The late George Harrison’s ‘mini-me’ son Dhani wed his longtime girlfriend, former model Solveig Karadottir, this past weekend in a secret ceremony at the Harrison family’s estate, Friar Park, in Henley-on-Thames, 40 miles outside London.
The two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, attended the ceremony, as did actors Tom Hanks and Clive Owen. The bride wore a dress by Sir Paul’s designer daughter Stella McCartney. (Talk about the circle of life.)
Harrison (33) is currently in two bands. He is the lead singer and guitar player in thenewno2, who will release their second full-length album, "thefearofmissingout", on July 31. He is also in Fistful of Mercy with Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur. Fistful of Mercy’s only album, "As I Call You Down", came out in 2010.
Karadottir, who is originally from Iceland, is a psychologist. Her father, Karl Stefansson, founded the Icelandic biopharmaceutical firm deCODE Genetics.
The couple live in Los Angeles.
