According to TMZ, Oprah Winfrey's best friend Gayle King is being sued by professional matchmaker Orly Hadida, who claims that King allegedly promised to get her on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' but failed to do so.
Hadida claims she set the 56-year-old (and single) King up with attractive wealthy men, but waived her usual $500,000 fee after being promised an appearance on 'Oprah.'
Hadida alleges that she spent hundreds of hours getting King dates with five different men (which doesn't sound too good, if true). Hadida panicked when she heard 'Oprah' was coming to an end because she had not heard about her guest appearance.
Hadida also says that she sent King an email, saying since she wasn't going to appear on 'Oprah,' she wanted to get paid, but the money never arrived.
King is the editor of 'O' magazine, owned by Oprah, and has her own talk show on her Oprah's OWN network. She has also worked as a special correspondent for 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' King has not released a statement.
