Elton John and George Michael End 7-Year Feud With Duet

Sorry isn’t the hardest word: Feuding singing heavyweights Elton John and George Michael have ended their seven-year rift, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

History has it that the boys fell out seven years ago after Elton made some no-so-stellar comments about George – he said the former Wham! star was troubled, and “in a strange place”.

Elton said George appeared to have a “deep-rooted unhappiness in his life”, and felt that his album Patience was “disappointing”.

George retorted with: “Elton John knows very little about George Michael and that’s a fact. Most of what Elton knows about my life is limited to the gossip he hears on the gay grapevine.

“He [ Elton] will not be happy until I bang on his door in the middle of the night saying, ‘Please, please, help me, Elton. Take me to rehab.’ It’s not going to happen….Elton just needs to shut his mouth and get on with his own life.”

But wait, while their friendship may have crashed and burned for a few years, the boys are now said to be besties again.

According to The Sun, the pair have ended their feud and teamed up for a duet at Elton’s Aids fundraising White Tie and Tiara Ball last week.

The boys performed a rendition of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, which was met with rapturous applause.

A guest said: “Everyone went mad – it was a special moment.”

It’s also been revealed that George will perform at a charity concert in London this November, in aid of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

A friend tells the Daily Mail: “They have been seeing each other quite a lot. The feud is finally over. George and Elton are getting on brilliantly again and everybody is thrilled.”

Very glad to hear you’ve kissed and made up, boys!
