Earlier today it hit the news that Heidi Montag‘s plastic surgeon (and also surgeon to other stars) Dr. Frank Ryan was killed after his car went off a cliff in California. His former girlfriend Charmaine Blake confirms it was a result of texting while driving:
He lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff.”
That is so sad. So avoidable. His girlfriend says Dr. Ryan‘s family was told by investigator’s that Tweeting caused the accident. His beloved dog, Jill was in the car and sustained head, eye and paw injuries but according to TMZ she will make a full recovery. They found Jill in the ocean at the crash scene.
Charmaine, 29, lived with the doctor from 2003 to 2006 and remained very close with him helping to support her. She says of the relationship:
“It was the only serious relationship I ever had and he was the love of my life,” “It was hard for us to stay away from each other.”
This is such a tragedy it’s shocking. If there is one good thing that can possibly come out of such a tragedy I sincerely hope that it stops people from texting and driving. I see it every day and it’s horrifying.
Do you text and drive? Do you see people do it while driving?
