Filmmaker George Hickenlooper has died at the age of 47.
Hickenlooper was found dead in Denver, Colorado where he was attending the premiere for his latest film “Casino Jack”.
The director apparently died from natural causes. His body was taken to the coroner and police were investigating the death, Jackson said.
“We don’t see anything indicating that foul play was involved. This is a standard death investigation,” he said.
The filmmaker won an Emmy Award in 1992 for “Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse” which was a movie about the making of “Apocalypse Now.”
George Hickenlooper is survived by his wife, Suzanne and a son, Charles.
