David Arquette is sorry for his candid tell-all interview with Howard Stern earlier this week.
The Scream star was interviewed by the shock jock on Tuesday, and declared open season on spilling way too much information about his split from wife Courteney Cox.
Arquette revealed that he and Cox hadn’t had sex for four months, and confessed that he’d slept with a cocktail waitress after they split.
His candor raised a few eyebrows to say the least.
“Thank you all for your love and support at this time,” Arquette tweeted yesterday.
“I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I’m experiencing but while doing that I shared too much…” he wrote.
“It’s alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled.”
He added: “Life is a process of spiritual evolution. I’m sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we’ve learned.”
Stern has since spoken out to defend Arquette.
“He was protecting his wife and kid by telling the truth. He handled himself very well.
“He didn’t hide away in his house. He went on a legitimate show and spoke his mind and it was refreshingly honest. Anyone who heard it knew he was being honest.”
What do you think? Did Arquette go too far during the interview?
