'Dancing with the Stars' May Make Changes

Dancing With The Stars normally airs two times in a given year (Spring time and the Fall) but ABC has decided that`s too much and are dropping the Fall season from its lineup. A production source to the New York Post says that may not even be the only change:

“They have to figure something out,” the insider says. “Maybe change the judges. The show needs a total makeover.”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy had an exclusive interview with WetPaint in which he also mentioned the judges needs to be changed. Despite having great numbers for the All-Stars season, the show is down twenty percent compared to other seasons.

March 18, 2013 marks Season 16 and already the word is that the Bachelorette, Emily Maynard is already signed on. Derek Houghmay not be back as his interest in the big screen is too alluring, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not sure he`s going to renew his contract.

So the Spring schedule is set, but that`s a few months off. It will be interesting to see what changes ABC is going to make. It's time for an overhaul of the show, and it could go in any number of directions, couldn't it?

What do you think the show needs to do to improve? Would you still watch if it were on only once in a given year?
