Chris Hemsworth Starring in 'Thor: The Dark World'

Listen up all of you Chris Hemsworth fans… (What do you call yourselves anyway? Hemsworthians? Hemmies?)  I bring you tidings of great joy from the halls of Asgard!  Thor 2, otherwise knowns as Thor: The Dark World, has begun shooting in the forests of England!

Not much is known about the plot “the continuing adventures yada yada yada” but Hemsworth (and his hammer) is of course back as Thor, which is pretty much the most important thing. Newcomers Kat Dennings, Christopher Eccleston,  Zachary Levi and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join the returning Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Ray Stevenson as Volstagg,  Stellan Skarsgard as Erik Selvig and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin all return as well.

Sir Kenneth Branagh, however, will not return behind the lens.  Replacing him will be Alan Taylor, who’s done extensive work for all of the terrific HBO series of the last fifteen  years, including a number of episodes of “Game of Thrones” (including season 2 finale “Valar Morghulis”)

Thor: The Dark World has a release date of November 8, 2013 in the US and the UK.
